Mark Brown, CBI - President & Founder

 

Summary:

Mr. Brown is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) with 30years of business experience in a wide range of industries.

 

He has successfully negotiated transactions from as small as $19,000 to as large as $8 million in a multitude of industries. Mark Brown

 

Prior to founding NextStep, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Aavid Thermal Technologies, where he was a driving force on the team that took the company from near bankruptcy to profitability and financial health and a successful IPO in 1996. In his four-year tenure, the market value of the company grew from near zero to $350 million.

 

Prior to Aavid Thermal Technologies, he was a controller for ABA Industries, an $18 million manufacturing company. He started his career as a consultant in the consulting division of Arthur Andersen, which is now Accenture.

 

Since founding NextStep in 1997, Mark has helped business leaders improve their profitability and increase their cash flow by helping them identify and implement practical solutions to stressful bottlenecks within their organizations and processes and/or identifying and focusing their energy on their core competence.

 

Mark has track record of developing, managing and implementing the strategic initiatives needed to accomplish the business strategy and designing streamline systems and processes that strengthen the organizations' strategy execution.

 

He has a broad functional background, including finance, IT, sales, marketing and HR.
